While shooting on the main court was an unforgettable experience, my favorite court was the Grand Stand. This court didn’t have a pit but was surrounded by bleachers. Luckily for the photographers, this meant that we were allowed to sit in the court albeit along the side. I honestly could not believe how close I was able to get as I sat between two broadcast cameras.

To add to this amazing access, I was primarily at the Rogers Cup to cover Canadian Olympians. Thanks to Milos Raonic, this meant that Daniel Nestor and Vasek Pospisil were the main focus. This focus was not something shared with other photographers, and almost every time I covered them at this court, I would be the only photographer. It was a more than ideal situation as I have unlimited access and never had to worry about losing my spot.
